The National examinations Council, NECO, has released the 2021 Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE internal result.

A statement released on Friday, October 29, 2021, and signed by the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, Professor Dantani Wushishi, revealed that the number of candidates that registered for the examination is 1,233,631, with 657,389 male, representing 53.28% and 576,242 females, representing 46.71%.

The NECO said that 1,226,796 candidates sat for the exams with 653,418 males representing 53.26% and 573,378 females representing 46.74%.

The statement hinted that the total number of candidates with Special Needs stands at 1,119, comprising 59 albinos, 174 with autism, 708 deaf, and 178 visually impaired.

The examination body noted that 945,853 candidates representing 77.72%, made credit in the English Language, while 1,094,291 representing 90%, made credit in Mathematics.

The NECO further stated that 878, 925 candidates representing 71.65% made five (5) credits and above including English Language and Mathematics.

The number of candidates who made five (5) credits and above irrespective of English Language and Mathematics is 1,226,796 representing 94.04%, while the number of candidates involved in various forms of malpractice in 2021 is 20,003 representing 1.63%.
