Bauchi State contingent at the National Youths Games in Ilorin is stranded, as the games closed today.
Speaking to reporters, one of the contingent members said it is a result of the failure of the Bauchi State Government to settle the remaining allowance which was promised to them before their departure for Ilorin.
He said, currently, security personnel attached to the contingent have vowed to receive their allowance before the contingent will depart Ilorin tomorrow.
He said the lingering problem of their allowance started in Bauchi, which resulted in their leaving Ilorin for the games late, and the consequent poor performance of the Bauchi contingent, as most of the games were played before their arrival.
The Bauchi contingent called on the State Governor, Bala Muhammad, to please come to its aid.
