Indian business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani has joined the league of the richest people on the globe. The chairman of Reliance Industries is now worth $100.6 billion after the company’s stocks hit a record high.
The company has been making a lot of moves in the clean energy sector recently as well as acquiring smaller startups across the e-commerce, technology, and retail sectors. This year alone, Mukesh Ambani has gained $23.8 billion in wealth.
In June, he announced that the original petrochemical and oil refining conglomerate will be investing at least $10 billion in the green energy sector in three years. Fossil Energy still generates close to 60% of Reliance’s annual revenue.
