Mohamed Ben Omar, Niger’s Minister of Employment and Labour died yesterday, Sunday 3 May at the main hospital in Niamey.
This was confirmed by the deceased’s party, Social Democratic Party.

Although the cause of death remains undisclosed to the media. The President of the Republic of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou stated that Omar’s death was shocking and devastating.

Mohamed Ben Omar had led the PSD which is associated with the President’s Party for Democracy and Socialism. Omar in 2017 became the Labour minister in Niger under Issoufou’s administration.

Between 2007- 2009 he was the country’s  Minister of Communication. Omar lived for 55 years, he was born 4 January 1965 and left earth 3 May 2020.
