Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State says legislation against open grazing in Nigeria could be an effort in futility.
Governor El-Rufai who spoke when he visited the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday acknowledged ranching as an alternative but remains a capital-intensive venture.
He, therefore, called for patience and planning on the part of all those affected by open grazing in Nigeria rather than enacting laws that will not solve the problem.
Governor El-Rufai noted that the ignorance of the people on the essence of Value-Added Tax has been responsible for the prevailing debate in the country
El-Rufai was accompanied to the party secretariat by Senator Uba Sani of Kaduna Central where they had a closed-door meeting with the National Secretary of the Party, John Akpanu Udoedehe.
