Enugu APC House of Reps. candidate urges people to pick up PVC

The people of Kwara North Senatorial District under the aegis of the Kwara North Elders Forum have rejected the offer of a one-term slot for the governorship by 2023 from the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

The group stated this at a news conference in Ilorin and urged the PDP to insulate their traditional rulers from the pact as there is no turning back on their support for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The tone of the exchange of words was set by the leadership of the PDP led by the Director General of the Campaign Committee, Professor Suleiman, who said the party has signed an agreement with the people of Kwara North to cede the governorship slot to the zone by 2023 as the present candidate will only spend one term.

While lamenting the neglect and marginalization the zone has suffered in previous years, the Kwara North APC Spokesperson, Ahmed Muhammed, said the offer is a bait.

Other speakers also noted that the leader of the PDP is known for not honouring political promises and pledges, hence they are not cajoled by the agreement signed.
With less than 25 days to the general elections, the Memorandum of Understanding would be put to test.
