Attacks on Police Stations in Akwa Ibom State continued Wednesday morning with a repeat attack on Ika Divisional Police Station by suspected members of IPOB/ESN.
There are no reports of casualties yet as of the time of filing this report but this is coming less than two weeks after three policemen were killed in an earlier attack.
Reports also indicated another attack on the Etim Ekpo Divisional Police Station with the station set on fire. There are also no report of casualties.
The state Police Command in a statement released by its PPRO, SP Odiko MacDon, confirmed the attack on the two police stations and reported the unfortunate death of an officer, Police Constable Edogi Bassey at Etim Ekpo Police Station.
