Zamfara State has a newly appointed Commissioner of Police in the person of Abutu Yaro. He took over from CP Usman Nagogo, who has been redeployed to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Shehu said, the new commissioner on assumption on Wednesday, assured of his determination to rid the state of criminal elements.
Before Yaro’s new posting to Zamfara State, he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
CP Yaro was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of police in1988.
He was also a member of Course 28/2019 – 2020, at the National Defence College, Abuja.
