In what has now been construed to mean solidarity with the fight for a better Nigeria, Jack Dorsey’s tweet of the Nigerian flag sends a strong message to many Nigerians home and abroad.

The move has scored Jack some extra cool points with Nigerians who appreciate his stance despite the murky waters his company is in right now with the government. Maybe even enough to forgive him for placing his headquarters in Ghana despite Nigeria’s 40 million users (lol).

Jack Dorsey, whose platform, Twitter has now been banned in Nigeria and is currently seeking redress with the nation’s government, simply tweeted the Nigerian Flag today which happens to be the Nigeria’s Democracy Day and the anniversary of the freest and fairest election the country has ever witnessed.

Many young Nigerians are still reeling from the economic impact of the Twitter ban which ensued after the verified presidential account violated some of its platform’s policies. Some older folks too… see below
