The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami presented an approved memo of the
National Policy on Fifth Generation Network for the nation’s digital economy.
According to the minister, the deployment of the network will avail numerous economic opportunities in academia, economic and educational sectors.
The recent approval of the 5G network is following a full-blown investigation into
the health risks associated with the technology.
It is expected that 5G will speedily take over from 4G networks which is what is most readily obtainable across the nation.
