Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has announced that Basketball Hall of Famer, Larry Bird will have a museum tell his basketball story as well as his Indiana roots. He disclosed that the museum will be housed in a convention center to be built in Terre Haute.
Personal items and memorabilia from Larry Bird’s career with the US Olympic team, Indiana State University, and Boston Celtics will be provided by the basketball icon.
Although details about the museum are still relatively unknown, a certainty is that it will include interactive displays about Bird’s life and career.
The construction of the convention center is to begin in the spring of 2019 and is set to cost more than $1.6m
