Unknown gunmen killed retired Air Vice-Marshal Muhammad Maisaka at his home in Ragasi, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna, according to the Kaduna State Police Command.
On Tuesday, the incident was confirmed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, Muhammad Jalige.
Maisaka’s gateman was also injured in the attack, according to Jalige, who said it happened in the early hours of Tuesday.
Mudassiru Abdullah, the Commissioner of Police, sent the Divisional Police Officer to the scene as soon as the information was received accompanied by the area commander.
He said that additional details regarding the incident would be provided soon. “The body was transferred to the hospital, and the gateman was also sent to the hospital for treatment,” he said.
Residents of Kaduna, according to Jalige, have been informed to step forward with valuable and timely information that could lead to the offenders’ arrest.
