President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the murder of two soldiers in Imo state by gunmen.
The president in a statement issued by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, described the killing as barbaric, alien, and unacceptable, and also directed security agencies to “do their utmost in apprehending the perpetrators of those barbaric acts and bring them to justice”.
Suspected members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra had beheaded an army couple — Gloria Matthew and Audu Linus — who were on their way to fulfill their traditional wedding rites on Saturday.
