House of Representatives vote against lifting Twitter Ban

The House of Representatives has today voted against lifting the suspension on the microblogging app – Twitter. The rejection came after listening to the reports of its committer on the matter.

The house made it compulsory for the ICT intelligence to make thorough research to know why Twitter was suspended by the federal government.

At the time the report was being reviewed, the head of the deputy minority by the name Toby Okechukwu suggested that there should be an amendment to one of the recommendations.

One of the recommendations stated that the federal government should consider the effects the Twitter ban had on people that have made it a source of living and lift the suspension.

Toby Okechukwu was supported by another member, but however, there was rejection from the majority in the house when it was put to vote.
