Healthcare Services Resume Full Swing at Government Hospitals in Yenagoa

Healthcare delivery services at government facilities in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State have started picking up following the suspension of the strike by resident doctors across Nigeria.

While some patients who spoke to reporters expressed happiness over the development, the Chairperson of the National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, FMC Yenagoa chapter, Divine Erole, said that their going back to work is mixed feelings.

At the Gynaecology ward of the hospital, some patients were delighted with the turn of events, describing it as a huge relief.

The development is, however, being received with reservations by resident doctors at the medical facility who are urging the Federal Government to reciprocate their show of good faith.

The nationwide strike action was suspended following the intervention many individuals, bodies, and an agreement by the Federal Government to implement a Memorandum of Understanding signed with doctors.
