Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has cautioned his appointees against early politicking ahead of the 2023 elections, noting he will not hesitate to sack anyone found wanting.

The Governor gave the warning at this week’s state Executive Council meeting in Government House, Yenagoa, where he also swore in two new Special Advisers.

It is the 43rd Executive Council meeting of the prosperity administration in Bayelsa state.

Governor Douye Diri expressed concerns over reports of open politicking in some parts of the state with emphasis from Bayelsa West Senatorial District where there are perceived zoning disagreements.

He said it was rather too early for any form of politicking as his administration was focused on delivering his campaign promises to the people.

He warned those interested in open politicking to resign or be ready to be sacked.

The new special advisers are Alaboh Uzubide for legal matters and Onuma Johnson on none- indigenes who were charged to cooperate with other appointees to deliver development to people of the state.
