Less than a year ago, Forbes released a publication highlighting Kylie Jenner, one of the younger Kardashian women as the youngest billionaire valuing her at over an estimated $900 million on the 60-richest self-made women list, thus making her the youngest to hit the list ever based on projections that she would cross over the billion-dollar mark.
In more recent times, after the sale of $600 million worth of her cosmetic brand to Coty in a $1.2 billion deal valuation, the story has changed trajectory, in more recent times, it has been revealed in Coty’s filings that the numbers were a bit more overestimated than the actual value.
According to Forbes, they say the facts and figures were brought to them by the Kardashians who were keen on making the list, however, that declaration sort of casts doubts on the veracity of their proclaimed billionaires. It is expected that due diligence would have been done to ensure that indeed, before reeling out such information, there would be no shadow of a doubt of its validity, especially for a globally acclaimed publisher like Forbes.
Kylie has in response to the new claims that she may not have been a billionaire as portrayed on Forbes claims she never asked for the prominence, leaving us all to wonder, who is really telling lies and just how much trust we should place on a platform like Forbes considering how another top celebrity is unhappy with his listing and said the publishers don’t know how to count!
