FG Removes South Africa, Turkey, Brazil from restriction list

After several months of restriction, the Federal Government has lifted the travel ban placed on travellers arriving from South Africa, Turkey, and Brazil.

The Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee on Covid-19, PSC, Boss Mustapha, announced this on Wednesday at the national briefing of the Task Force in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

Mustapha said that the decision was reached by the PSC after a review of the developments in these countries, however, decided to remove South Africa, Turkey, and Brazil from the restricted list.

He said the PSC will continue to review Nigeria’s protocols based on global developments, science, and national experience.

The Secretary to Government of the Federation assured that a revised protocol will be issued in the next 24 hours.
