Manchester City has made their first signing of the 2020 summer transfer window as the announced the signing of Ferran Torres. The 20-year-old Spaniard joins the Cityzens on a five-year deal from Valencia.
The winger enjoyed a breakout season at Valencia where he contributed with 6 goals and 8 assists in all competitions. He is a versatile player who can play on either wing and behind the striker.
Torres has received praise and comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo. In a recent interview, while responding to the comparisons, Torres expressed his admiration for the Portuguese star as he aims to be like him.
Man City has signed Torres as a replacement for the departed Leroy Sane who joined Bayern Munich. Torres will now provide competition for Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden.
