An arrest warrant has been issued for close to 40 former senior military officials in the Tigray region.
This is in relation to the recent unrest in the region according to a statement by the Federal Police Commission.
The former officials include members from the Ethiopian Air Force, defence forces and Police forces on counts of treason and kidnapping of the Federal Defence forces situated in Tigray.
Former reports revealed that as many as 1000 officers were held hostage by the TPLF forces and were only recently released a few days away.
The statement further read that a physical manhunt will ensue to ensure that all suspected will be duly arrested.
