23-year-old British Singer Ella Mai has taken the US by storm by being the first British artist to top the US R&B charts since 1992. Ella is currently the number one in the US with her track titled Boo’d up which was released just only last year.
Nicki Minaj and Quavo feature on the song’s latest version. Although she has topped the charts in the US, Boo’d up in the UK charts is languishing at number 62. Ella has been quite excited about the news and recently tweeted ‘1992, before I was born.
First in my lifetime. INSANE!” Ella will perform at BBC 1Xtra Live alongside Chance The Rapper, Jorja Smith and Pusha T at the O2 Arena in London on the 22nd of September.
