Harvard University has rescinded on the offer letter of 10 prospective students for sharing racist and sexist memes via a private facebook group chat according to the Harvard Crimson.
The students allegedly shared content that would have banned them from the official 2021 class group on Facebook via this private group. The memes portrayed sexual assault, paedophilia, racist and content relating to the Holocaust.
To gain acceptance to the group, prospective members had to show a high taste for obscene content and post very extreme or borderline rude memes.
The University spokesperson declined on commenting publicly on the issue. However the Institution has shown a firm stance against racist and derogatory behaviour among their students.
