The Federal Government, UNESCO, the Federal Ministries of Education, Health, Women Affairs, and Social Development, UNFPA, UNAIDS, United Nations Information Centre, CSOs, and UN agencies have launched a one-month digital campaign, tagged, `Education Saves Lives, to stress the need for young people to be educated.
The officer-in-Charge of UNESCO’s Regional Office in Abuja, Lamine Sow, recalled that African leaders had committed themselves in Agenda 2063, to ensure a people-driven development, relying on the potential of young people and children.
He further hoped that elements of the campaign were systematically shared on social platforms; to ensure it trends, the acceptance of the campaign by stakeholders, and positive interactions on the Comprehensive Education Information (CEI).
