Edo State Government has promised the state’s ambassador to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Enoch Adegoke, the sum of 10, 000 dollars as allowance at the games and a brand new SUV car if he emerges winner at the Olympics.
Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, gave this assurance while speaking at a virtual meeting to boost the morale of the athlete who is in Japan ahead of the July games.
Adegoke who is currently the fastest man in Nigeria, represented Edo State to win the 100 metres gold medal at the 2020 National Sports Festival.
He assured the state government that he will do his best to make Edo and Nigeria proud.
Enoch Adegoke born March 8, 2000, also competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in both the 100m and the 4×100 metres relay.
