Andre Young, popularly known as Dr. Dre, a US rapper and music mogul, has been ordered by a court to pay Nicole Young, his ex-wife, $3.5 million per year in spousal support.
In June 2020, Dre’s ex-wife Nicole filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. The couple, who married in 1996 and have two children, have been embroiled in a legal battle over their prenuptial agreement.
DR. DRE MAKES REFERENCE TO PRE-NUPTIAL AGREEMENT AHEAD OF DIVORCE
Nicole had requested that the prenuptial agreement be annulled, but Dre refused.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Dre is now required to pay Nicole approximately $300,000 every month until she decides to remarry.
“Dre is ordered to pay to the [Nicole] spousal support in the sum of $293,306.00 per month, payable on the first of each month, commencing August 1, 2021. The payments is to continue until the party receiving support remarries, enters into a new domestic partnership, or death of either party.”

According to rumors, Dre would also cover Nicole’s health insurance, while she will be responsible for the rest. Dre’s monthly payment is only temporary while he and his ex-wife work out an overall settlement.
