Dillian Whyte’s guaranteed place at the World Boxing Council WBC heavyweight title in 2021 is now in limbo, following his defeat on Saturday, as he was knocked out by Russia’s Alexander Povetkin in the fifth round on a massive uppercut.
While speaking in an interview after the bout, the 32-year-old said, he does not have any regrets, taking the fight even with a lot on the line.
The English man further said, he will come back stronger and focused as he is still one of the top heavyweights in the world. It has been reported that there will be a rematch at the end of the year, with Whyte having a clause in his contract to do so.
