Two South African brothers have vanished into thin air with $3.6 in Crypto investment according to Hanekom Attorneys, a legal institution focused on the Cryptocurrency industry.

The brothers who founded the Africrypt platform in 2019, Ameer and Raees Cajee eloped after sending a mail to investors in April that their platform had been hacked right after a dramatic surge in Bitcoin about that period.

Apparently, Ameer, the COO of the Crypto platform urged investors not to report the incident to the authorities but not all investors were that compliant and informed Hanekom Attorneys.

“We were immediately suspicious as the announcement implored investors not to take legal action,” the law firm said in a statement. “Africrypt employees lost access to the back-end platforms seven days before the alleged hack.”

The firm disclosed that the funds were quietly transferred from investors accounts and merged with other bitcoin transactions leaving a dead trail.
