Chelsea’s Zola re-admitted after gallstone surgery complications

Chelsea’s assistant coach, Gianfranco Zola has been re-admitted to the hospital after complications arose from the gallstone surgery he had last week.

Zola was not on the bench for Chelsea’s FA Cup defeat at the hands of Manchester United and is not expected to return for Chelsea’s second leg clash against Malmo on Thursday.

Chelsea have not put a timescale on his return to training or match-day activities.

Zola may also be absent from the dugout when Chelsea take on Manchester City in the Carabao cup final on Sunday.
