The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev Dr. Samson Ayokunle, has directed all churches nationwide to adhere to the directives concerning the Crossover Night Service.
Although the leader expressed regrets over the massive disruption to the typical crossover night services in joint fellowship, he urged all church leaders to obey the government directives so as to prevent the spread of the disease.
In accordance with the directives for states in which the crossover nights have been banned, he called for churches to begin the services earlier and conclude at latest by 11:00 PM.
He also appealed for the local governments to enforce the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines in the market places and transportation sector.
