The Benue State Government has disclosed plans to give the State University Teaching Hospital in Makurdi a facelift.

State Governor, Samuel Ortom, in the company of his Deputy, Benson Abounu, who made this known during an inspection of some agencies, said the executive council had approved the sum of 150 million naira for its renovation.

Saint Catherine’s primary school was the Governor’s first port of call. He then proceeded to the Government college also situated within the capital.

The teaching service board was next on the list of agencies visited by the chief executive. Next was the epidemiological centre which now houses a new laboratory for COVID 19, Lassa fever, and other related testings.

Closely followed by the State university teaching hospital.

Ortom winded down the Ministry of Science and Technology where the next batch of tables and chairs primary schools were stored.
