On August 28, 32 students of the school regained their freedom after an initial 15 were set free on the 22nd of the same month.

So far, a total of 100 students have regained their freedom, while 21 are still with their captors.

Although it is not disclosed whether ransom was paid, however, the school authority said it will continue to pray and press to secure the release of the 21 students that are still held back against their wish by the bandits.
