No fewer than three persons have been reported killed by bandits suspected to be herdsmen at Nche-Tahu Village, Miango District of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The latest attack came barely 24 hours after the community was allegedly ransacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
According to a member of the community, Bitrus Izah, the incident occurred at about 10 pm on Thursday and those killed were among the community members keeping vigil after many had left the community for fear of possible attack.
Izah said the attack was carried out by suspected herdsmen who had engaged in mowing down their grown crops recently.
Efforts to speak to the State Police Command through its Spokesperson were unsuccessful as he was not responding to calls.
Nche Tahu Community has come under attacks and mass destruction of farm crops recently, a situation that is yet to be addressed.
