Arsenal to sell players with two left years on their contract

Arsenal’s managing director, Vinai Venkatesham has revealed that the club will now enforce a new policy which will involve the sale of players in the final two years of their contract should they not wish to renew their deals.

Ventkatesham disclosed that the new policy is to avoid situations where key players end up leaving on a free transfer like that of Aaron Ramsey.

The new policy will have direct implications for some key players at the club, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos entering the final two years of their contracts.

Meanwhile, club captain, Laurent Koscielny, has a single year remaining on his contract and is unknown if he will be given a contract extension.
