Upcoming Aretha Franklin biopic respect has been moved due to coronavirus. According to Deadline, the film has been pushed back from its original release on Oct. 9 to a limited release on Christmas Day.
From there, the film “will expand Jan. 8 in theatres with a full-on wide release on Jan. 15, 2021 which is MLK weekend.”
The movie follows the rise of Franklin’s music career from her father’s church choir and it will be produced by ‘Dreamgirls’ producer Harvey Mason Jr and Scott Bernstein.
