An exotic mansion of the immediate past Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has been taken over by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, AMCON, over a personal debt of over four billion 46 million Naira.

According to inscription on the fence of the exotic mansion belonging to Ahmed along Abdulrazaq Road, G.R.A Ilorin, the property has been marked with red ink, indicating “Possession taken by court order”.

With this development, the former Governor may have lost nothing less than nine landed properties in different locations across the country which include Abuja, Lagos, and Ilorin and other landed properties across the country to AMCON as a result of his inability to pay up his debt.

A video clip had earlier surfaced online showing the take over of the property by police officers.

The court order also restrains several financial institutions from further releasing assets or dealing in any other manner with the defendant.
