Third Belt, Road Forum: Shettima To Represent Tinubu In China

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima has arrived in Beijing, China on an official visit to the Asian country.

The VP was received at the Beijing International Airport by the Vice Chairman of the standing committee of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress Mr Li Yingjin and the Deputy Director of the African Affairs Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Yu Yong.

Nigeria’s Ambassador to China, Baba Jidda was also on hand to receive the nation’s number two citizen.

The Vice President is in China to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative, hosted by China from 16th -18th October, 2023.

He will join world leaders from over 130 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America at the Forum to deliberate on the theme, “High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity.”
