The Christian and Muslim Clerics has cautioned 36 state Governors against diverting the two billion naira giving to each state by the federation government to cushing the effect of fuel subsidy removal on the Nigerian citizens.

They gave the advised over the weekend in kaduna, charged Governors to ensure that the funds are used accordingly for social and economic growth for interest of all Nigerians masses not for personal use.

The Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter, Rev. Dr. Joseph Hayab Says the economic hardship that the citizens of the country are going through cannot just be solved by mere palliative, noting that diverting it will add to more challenges and stir citizens against government.

Also, Kaduna state Islamic Cleric, Imam Hussain Makejeola says fairness, equity and justice to should be done in sharing the palliative to the vulnerable nigerians urging government to punish any officials caught diverting what belongs the poor masses for personal gain to be dealt.
