The Federal Government said it had disbursed $360 million to clean up the polluted Ogoni land in the Niger Delta. Coordinator Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, Prof Nenibarini Zabbey, disclosed this recently during a four-day tour of the remediated project sites in Ogoni local governments in River State.
He stated that efforts to restore the livelihoods of the people of Ogoni land ravaged by oil spills have started yielding results.
