Former U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (May 3) that if he were still president, he’d have ended the Russian-Ukrainian war in “24 hours”.
Trump made the remarks during an interview with British television channel GB News.
The 45th President said he would use his personal relationships with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to help bring an end to the conflict in a single day.
Trump has outlined his intentions to run for president ahead of the 2024 elections and currently holds a commanding lead in the polls against potential Republican rivals.
