The White House says there are no plans at this time for a government-sponsored evacuation of Sudan as heavy gunfire persisted in the capital Khartoum despite a truce agreement.

What they have made clear to both sides is that any attacks, threats or data or dangers are dangers posed to our diplomats, are totally unacceptable,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says.

Jean-Pierre told reporters that American citizens in the country should remain sheltered in place at this time.
