Governance: Yoruba Group Urges Tinubu To Fulfill His Campaign Promises

A Yoruba Socio cultural group, The Yourba council worldwide has urged the Nigeria President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to deliver on his campaign promises of strengthen of the military and security agencies with adequate arsenals in order to curb the insecurity menace in the country.

They also implored the President-elect to ensure that his administration invest more on education, Agricultural revolution and creating more employment opportunities in the country at large.

Speaking during a conference to herald its 5th omoluabi festival, at the Ile odudua, Ile-Ife, Osun state, the Global President, Yoruba Council Worldwide, Oladotun Hassan, pleaded with Yoruba indigenes to accommodate each other’s irrespective of their religion.

Visiting the recent clash between the Muslim and Obatala worshipers in the state, the President, said all though normalcy has taken place, but appealed to affected parties to be more tolerance of each as both religions are known for peace.

Meanwhile, the group had earlier paid a courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja11, where they received blessing from the throne.
