The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) HAS condemned the recent killings in some parts of Benue State.
Recall that Umogidi, Ikobi and Nyiev villages were attacked last week, with over 80 persons killed.
National President of MACBAN, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, while distancing the group from the massacre, described the attack as an act of criminality. He said the attack should be condemned by all.
Ngelzarma lamented that similar attacks were carried out at the Benue/Nasarawa border, where over 30 pastoralists were killed. He added that just a week after that, the Benue State treasurer for MACBAN was trailed to his house by criminals and killed.
