The Adamawa Muslim Council on Wednesday advised well-to-do individuals to assist less privileged persons during and after the month of Ramadan fasting by Muslims for more rewards from God.

Malam Gambo Jika, the council’s Chairman, gave the advice when he spoke with correspondents in Yola.

He said the well-to-do should assist during this fasting period to earn rewards.

Jika also urged traders to desist from inflating the prices of goods, but to reduce prices for divine blessings.

Tahir urged clerics delivering Ramadan lectures to adhere strictly to the tenets of Islam and to shun the use of hateful words that could incite conflagration.
