For a second day running, staff and students of the Plateau State Polytechnic have been locked out of their school premises, thus grounding activities at the two campuses of the institution.

The centre of this crisis is that the non-academic staff, have been casual staff for some time now and are lamenting over 20 months of unpaid allowances.

The spokesperson for the group said apart from being owed more than two years’ salary, they were recently served with letters terminating their appointments.

Attempt to speak to the school management proved abortive as the protests ensured all activities at the institution were grounded.
