Premier League club Southampton have hailed the Super Eagles after topping Group A in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers following a 1-0 win over Guinea-Bissau on Monday, March 27 at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.
Following the game Southampton highlighted the roles of their players Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu in the encounter on the club’s website.
In the AFCON qualifiers, Joe Aribo was introduced in the 61st minute for Nigeria Super Eagles in their 1-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau, while Paul Onuachu was an unused substitute in the encounter.
