As Rivers residents turn out to exercise their franchise round the 23 local governments, the reverse is the case for Asari toru local government area where election could not hold as a result of voters resisting the deployment of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and materials for governorship and state house of assembly elections.
The voters and the stakeholders demand seeing the ward collation officers before they would allow collation to commence.
Some residents who spoke with correspondents shared their views on why the election was not held.
