The residents of Oke AKO in Ekiti state are seeking help from relevant authorities after rainstorm destroyed their residential buildings, shops, as well as electric poles.
Speaking to journalists, some victims said the rain, which lasted for over two hours, started normally, but later blew off rooftops and destroyed electric pole, thereby subjecting the sleepy community to total blackout.
Chairman of Ajoni Local council development Authority, Michael Ogungbemi said relevant government agencies including the national emergency management authority and the state government have been duly informed of the disasters.
