General Elections: Christian Clergies Knock INEC

The independent electoral commission has received more knocks over the conduct of the February 25, 2023, polls, this time the Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors association, ACIPA, has criticised certain aspects of the election.

In an address to the press in Jos the Plateau state capital, ACIPA Chairman Rev. Luke Shehu described the conduct of the election as lacking credibility as attested to by local and international observers.

The group called on the electoral umpire to ensure it conducts credible polls for governorship and house of assembly.

Rev. Shehu condemns the rise of tribal and religious sentiments in the country and called Nigerians to join hands to build a united country.
