The Los Angeles Lakers honoured two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol on Tuesday, retiring his No. 16 jersey at the Crypto.com Arena in California.
The Spaniard found success with the Lakers after being traded there in 2008, winning championships in 2009 and 2010, and forming a formidable partnership with Kobe Bryant.
Gasol’s jersey was hung in the rafters right beside Bryant’s No. 8 and 24, while Bryant’s widow Vanessa was also in attendance for the ceremony.
