NATO Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg has reiterated that Ukraine would one day become a member of the alliance, but said it was a “long-term perspective.”
Kyiv requested a fast-track of NATO membership last September, seven months after Russia invaded it.
NATO said it has an open-door policy to Ukraine but has not said whether it will accelerate moves toward Kyiv’s possible accession.
